Citation
in Chinese Studies
This Citation option is intended for both non-native and heritage
students. Students will select language courses based upon their
performance on the department placement test.
Fifteen
credits of coursework required.
Specific course requirements
Six credits of Chinese language course study at any level, based
upon student's level of proficiency. Courses may be selected from
among the following:
- CHIN 101, CHIN 102, CHIN 103, CHIN 105
- CHIN 201, CHIN 202, CHIN 203, CHIN 204, CHIN 205
- CHIN 301, CHIN 302, CHIN 305, CHIN 306
- CHIN 401, CHIN 402, CHIN 403, CHIN 404
- CHIN 411 (formerly CHIN 303), CHIN 412 (formerly CHIN 304),
CHIN 413 (formerly CHIN 405), CHIN 415
- CHIN 431, CHIN 432
- CHIN 441, CHIN 442
Three of the following courses, which must be selected from at
least two different departments. Other Chinese-specific courses
will be added to the list should they be developed.
- ARTH 385, ARTH 485
- CHIN 313, CHIN 314, CHIN 315, CHIN 331, CHIN 421, CHIN 422
- GVPT 359C
- HIST 419L, HIST 480, HIST 481
