Citation option is intended for both non-native and
heritage students.
15 credit hours.
Requirements for non-native students:
. One of the three two-course language series listed below:
- RUSS 201 and RUSS 202
- RUSS 301 and RUSS 302
- Two courses from the following: RUSS 401, RUSS 402, RUSS 403,
RUSS 404, RUSS 410, RUSS 411, RUSS 412.
. Three of the folowing courses in Russian culture:
- RUSS 221, RUSS 222, RUSS 281, RUSS 282, RUSS 301, RUSS 381,
RUSS 382, RUSS 321, RUSS 322, RUSS 431, RUSS 432, RUSS 433,
RUSS 434, RUSS 473.
. Atleast six credits must be taken at the 300 or 400 level.
Requirements for heritage or native speakers:
. Courses taught in English at the 200, 300 and 400 level and/or
content based courses taught in Russian at the 400-level may
be applied to the Citation. Fifteen credits are chosen from
among the following:
- Courses taught in English: RUSS 221, RUSS 222, RUSS 328, RUSS
329.
- Content based courses taught in Russian: RUSS 307, RUSSS 322,
RUSS 381, RUSS 382, RUSS 398, RUSS 405, RUSS 406, RUSS 407,
RUSS 409, RUSS 431, RUSS 432, RUSS 433, RUSS 434, RUSS 439.
. At least six credits must be taken at the 300 or 400 level.
. With department permission, a graduate course may be submitted
for one of the upper level courses.
Please note the following:
. A native speaker is defined as someone who is fully literate
in Russian.
