Where the heck is Riggs Alumni Center?

The Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center is conveniently located right next to lots 1 and Z, next to Byrd Stadium and across the street from the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. 

  • ACCESS2ALUMNI is held in Orem Hall – to get there, enter the Alumni Center via the doors that directly face Byrd Stadium.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS to Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center:

From Baltimore and Points North

1. Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway (I-495)
2. Take I-495 toward "Silver Spring"
3. Take Exit 28B "650 South New Hampshire Avenue Takoma Park"
4. Go South on New Hampshire Avenue, approximately 1/2 mile
5. At the second traffic light, turn LEFT onto Adelphi Road
6. At the third traffic light, turn LEFT onto Rt. 193/University Blvd.
7. Enter the campus by making a RIGHT at the first light onto Stadium Drive
8. At the traffic circle, make the first RIGHT onto Valley Drive
9. You will pass the Riggs Alumni Center on your left; continue straight to park in Lots 1 or Z (directly behind Riggs; all this parking is FREE after 4pm)

From Alexandria, VA and Points South of Washington

1. Take I-295 North toward Baltimore.
2. I-295 becomes the Baltimore-Washington Pkwy (MD Route 295)
3. Exit onto Riverdale Road west toward Hyattsville/New Carrollton.
4. Riverdale Road becomes East-West Highway (MD Route 410)
5. Follow East-West Highway (MD Rt. 410) for approximately 2.5 miles
6. Turn RIGHT onto Adelphi Road
7. Follow Adelphi Road and make a RIGHT onto Rt. 193/University Boulevard
8. Make a RIGHT at the first traffic light onto Stadium Drive
9. At the traffic circle, make the first RIGHT onto Valley Drive
10. You will pass the Riggs Alumni Center on your left; continue straight to park in Lots 1 or Z (directly behind Riggs; all this parking is FREE after 4pm)

From Capital Beltway (Prince Georges County):

1. Take the Capital Beltway (I-495) toward Baltimore/Silver Spring
2. Take Exit 23 "Rt. 201 - Kenilworth Avenue; Bladensburg/Greenbelt”
3. Head South on Rt. 201
4. Take the ramp (far right hand side) toward Greenbelt Road West – Rt. 193
5. Make a right onto Greenbelt Road West – Rt. 193
6. Follow Rt 193- Greenbelt Rd - go 1.2 mi
7. Continue on Rt. 193 (now University Blvd)
8. Enter the campus by making a RIGHT at the first light onto Stadium Drive
9. At the traffic circle, make the first RIGHT onto Valley Drive
10. You will pass the Riggs Alumni Center on your left; continue straight to park in Lots 1 or Z (directly behind Riggs; all this parking is FREE after 4pm)

From Capital Beltway (Montgomery County & Points West)

1. Take I-495 toward "Silver Spring"
2. Take Exit 28B "650 South New Hampshire Avenue Takoma Park"
3. Go South on New Hampshire Avenue, approximately 1/2 mile
4. At the second traffic light, turn LEFT onto Adelphi Road
5. At the third traffic light, turn LEFT onto Rt. 193/University Blvd.
