Professor Orlando Patterson of Harvard University will deliver the third annual NIAF Pellegri Distinguished Lecture at the University of Maryland on Thursday, April 13, 2017.  His title is "Freedom, Slavery, and Redemption in Ancient Rome and America: Parallels, Continuities, and Reclamations."  The lecture will be followed by a reception.
