The UMD Classics Club holds the first annual classics day, a celebration of all things Greek and Roman.
The Classics Club sponsored a campus-wide event called Classics Day. The Classics Club is committed to celebrating the Classical Humanities, including ancient Greco-Roman languages, literature, theory, history, philosophy, politics, and more. While largely entertaining, the Classics are not all "bread and circuses": using the context of the ancients, the Classics are a means to discuss relevant issues in today's modern world.
