What do you enjoy most about studying the arts and humanities?
I enjoy the collaborative community that being an ARHU student brings.

Why did you select your ARHU major:
I want to be a journalist. I believe that you cannot report on issues or events if you don't know the history. I love being a History major because I get to explore topics I never knew existed. I've learned incredible research skills that have helped me at my internship.

What has been your most memorable moment at the University of Maryland?
Participating in an Alternative Spring Break trip. It changed my life!

Why did you decide to attend the University of Maryland?
After I graduated from Prince George's Community College I had no idea how I was going to be able to pay for a four year university. I attended a transfer workshop and learned about the Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship. To my surprise I received the scholarship and now I'm a proud Terp!

What are your career plans? What experiences/opportunities have you engaged in to prepare?
I plan to become a digital journalist and work for a major television station. My internships at CNN, NBC Washington and NBC News were incredible in helping me discover my passion for online media.
