UM Welcomes Israeli Ambassador To The United States

The Dubin Lecture Series presents: "The U.S.-Israeli Relationship: A Historical and Personal Perspective" with Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Dr. Michael B. Oren

BACKGROUND:

Presented by the College of Arts & Humanities, the Joseph and Alma Gildenhorn Institute for Israel Studies, and theInstitute for International Programs.

This year's Third Annual Richard and Elizabeth Dubin Distinguished Lecture Series is honored to present His Excellency Dr. Michael B. Oren, Israel's ambassador to the United States, an eminent historian whose address will include the peace process in the context of U.S.-Israel relations.

Admittance is by RSVP only and requires a university or photo I.D. Media should present Capitol Hill or other credentials. Given the response, it is recommended that the event be watched by stream or on UMTV. For those attending:

Due to limited seating, please arrive early - Doors open at 3:15pm

Due to heightened security, all bags will be checked - all unnecessary bags should be left at home, so that security lines move faster.

No food/drinks are allowed in Gildenhorn Hall. 

 

LIVE AND STREAMING EVENT: 

UMTV - The University of Maryland's cable TV station - will carry Ambassador Oren's speech LIVE in both Prince George's and Montgomery Counties. On campus, you can watch UMTV on channel 38. Comcast customers can watch on Channel 73 in Prince George's County and on Channel 2 in Montgomery County. On Verizon, the event will be on Channel 40 in both counties. 

The event will also be streamed live (requires Silverlight plugin for Mac and PC) by the University of Maryland and fed live by fiber to Verizon's AVOC switch. Media wishing to take a live feed of the event should contact:
