UMD's Driskell Center Executive Director Is Honored By His Alma Mater

Executive Director of UMD's Driskell Center Robert Steele wins Presidential Award of Distinction at his alma mater. 

Executive Director of UMD's Driskell Center Robert Steele wins Presidential Award of Distinction at his alma mater. 

Dr. Robert E. Steele was presented the Presidential Award of Distinction at his alma mater, Morehouse College. He was presented the award during their 144th anniversary. Steele graduated from the college in 1965.

Steele is currently the executive director of the University of Maryland's David C. Driskell Center for the Study of the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora.
