The College of Arts and Humanities announces the Douglas and Holly Jacobs Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to an undergraduate student who has transferred to the University of Maryland from a Community College and had earned a G.P.A of 3.3 or higher during the first semester at UM. The recipient must have a major in the College of Arts and Humanities. Annual awards will be based on need. Awards may be renewed for up to four academic years as long as the recipient continues to earn a 3.3 or better and is making steady progress towards graduation (at least 9 credits per semester).
Applicants must:
- Have entered the University of Maryland as a declared major in the Arts and Humanities in Fall 2007.
- Provide one letter of reference from a faculty member
- Provide a letter explaining financial need
