for Students majoring in Dance, Music
or Theatre

The College of Arts and Humanities
announces the availability of Stringer Foundation Performing
Arts Scholarships to be awarded to a student in Dance, Music
or Theatre. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of
academic merit and demonstrated financial need. Candidates must
be full-time during the 2008-2009 academic year. Students on
full scholarship are not eligible.
For consideration
of
award the student must meet the following
qualifications:
· Be of senior status
at the beginning of fall semester 2008
· Have a 3.3 GPA or above
· Demonstrated financial need (provide a written
statement)
· one letter of recommendation from a faculty
member
to be sent directly to the College
· a two-page, double spaced essay discussing the importance
of any of the performing arts as a part of a true liberal arts
education.
