iTunesU

What is iTunesU?

iTunes U is a section of the iTunes store that features free educational audio and video files, or podcasts, from participating universities that can be accessed either by the general public or dedicated specifically to students.

What does iTunes U do?

iTunes U enables professors to post audio and video recordings of lectures, discussions, and other supplemental information for students to download onto their iPod so that they can play the materials as many times as they want, whenever they want, and wherever they go. While iTunes U podcasts can be made private to students on campus, it also can be made accessible to the general public, which allows the university to advertise important lectures, guest speakers, and other noteworthy events.

iTunes U allows you the option to give students space to upload their own podcasts or other audio or video files to share with their peers by providing a student dropbox.
