Picasa
What is Picasa?
Picasa is a free software download created by Google which helps you manage photo images. Picasa Web Albums is an expanded functionality of Picasa that allows you to post and share photo albums on the web with a free Google account.
What does Picasa do?
Once you download Picasa, it quickly locates all of the photos on your computer and allows you to organize them in folders. You can add new photos, create and edit folders of images, and publish them on the web to share with family and friends. Picasa allows you to make some corrections to your pictures, such as cropping or removing redeye, and also to add captions and comments.
Picasa has recently been expanded to allow movie editing and screencapture capabilities.

Picasa is an easy-to-use, efficient tool that can be used to:

- Organize and share your own photos with students or other faculty on the web
- Edit photos for class
