TurningPoint
What is TurningPoint?
TurningPoint is a classroom response software integrated with Microsoft PowerPoint that allows instructors to assess student learning and track participation through the use of clicker technology. Clickers, small hand-held devices similar to remote controls, transmit a wireless signal to the instructor's computer that indicates student responses.
What does TurningPoint do?
In lecture halls where student participation is limited, TurningPoint allows students to respond to an instructor's prompts by pressing a button on their clicker, giving him or her immediate feedback on students comprehension of material and retention of information. Using clickers also encourages students to respond in a more honest and unbiased manner, since they can participate without having to raise their hand or speak out loud.
TurningPoint integrates a toolbar into Microsoft PowerPoint, so that you can either create slides which students can respond to with their clickers or convert existing PowerPoint slides into interactive presentations.
