Arts and Humanities Classroom Technology Support Office:
Providing Equipment and Support for the Use of Technology in the
Classroom
For Arts and Humanities faculty who wish to use technology in the
classroom but are not scheduled to teach in a technology-enhanced
classroom or lecture hall, the instructional
equipment loaner program offers laptop computers and portable
projectors. Equipment and support services are provided on a first-come,
first-served basis so contact the Classroom Technology Support staff
as soon as possible to make arrangements for the equipment and support
you need. Full delivery and pick-up services are available but resources
are limited so make your reservations early. If you are a current
user of the services provided by the instructional equipment loaner
program and wish to submit a survey to help us assess the quality
of services provided, visit www.arhu.umd.edu/technology/eval.html.
The Classroom Technology Support staff also provide support services
for the technology-enhanced lecture halls and classrooms included
in the Teaching Facilities Committee's Classroom
Support Project. These include Francis Scott Key 0106
and 0102, Jimenez 0220, Marie Mount 1400, Skinner 0200, and Susquehanna
1120. In addition, computer and audio/visual equipment is available
on carts for use in any classroom in Francis Scott Key. Call the
Classroom Technology Support office (301-405-0830) or visit the
Classroom Support site (www.classrooms.umd.edu)
for more information.
During the Fall and Spring semesters, the Classroom Support Office
is open to provide support from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through
Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays.
The Classroom Technology Support office is located in 1116
Francis Scott Key Hall. You can reach the support staff by phone
at 301-405-0830 or by e-mail at arhu-itequip@umd.edu.
