(Can't find what you need? Call the Computing Services help desk (x5-2104) or any of our faculty support staff for assistance.)

I need access to computers in the classroom -- where should I look?

ACS' faculty support staff can help you choose the best solution for your class:

I want to create a Web page for my class -- What do I do?

Contact Jennifer Patterson, who will help you

  • Decide what tools and resources will best meet your needs
  • Acquire a "WebSpinner" account which will allow you to craft your site on inforM
  • Learn enough about the Web to help you create and maintain a useful site

Our workshops are another good way to approach the creation of a class site. Watch especially for "Creating a WWW Page: Introduction to HTML."

My computer doesn't meet my needs. Can I get a better one?

Contact the Assistant Dean to discuss your situation. You may only need more memory, or a software upgrade. You may need a new computer. New faculty workstations are generally requested by departments in May and ordered in July for the academic year. If possible, don't wait until the Fall to begin the discussion!

How can I find out how my colleagues have used technology, and what they thought of the experience?

Consider participating in MITH's Digital Dialogues and the other events the College offers to enable our faculty to share their ideas and experiences.
