An
historian of the Web as a teaching tool, broadly conceived, Professor Catherine
has published widely on the political, cultural and intellectual history
of web applications. She has published lots of books, edited and introduced
two volumes in Russian and co-edited Transformations of the Wired Academic.
She is a founding editor of the University-based quarterly journal Explorations
in the Web (see www.web.com/wow), where she regularly comments on a broad
range of issues in editorials, reaction pieces, and reviews.
A regular researcher in Web archives, Professor Catherine is currently
working on a new study of the Soviet reception of Web visitors, intellectuals,
and fellow-travelers in the 1920's and 1930's. She has been a visiting
scholar or fellow at Columbia University, Ohio State University, the Center
for Studies in Public Policy, and the National Academy of Education. |
