Below is information that will facilitate your enrollment to the university.
B. Attend orientation
To help ease transition to the University of Maryland, freshmen and transfer students who confirm to attend must attend orientation. Please see the following steps below:
I. Register for an orientation date:
II. Submit all transcripts from other higher education institutions, including AP and IB transcripts, to the University of Maryland. For more information, please see http://www.tce.umd.edu/faq.html
During orientation, you will meet with an advisor with a small group of other new students to discuss degree requirements, co-curricular opportunities, evaluate transfer credits (if applicable), and register for courses for your first semester. Beyond orientation, ARHU students are paired with at least two advisors – a departmental advisor who advises on requirements for the major and a college advisor who advises on general education and college requirements outside the major.
D. Scholarships & Financial Support
Admitted freshmen and transfer students to the College are encouraged to apply or may be considered for academic scholarships. The College of Arts and Humanities offers a variety of scholarships for incoming students.
