Entre Mundos/Between Worlds: Salvadoran Digital Stories of Transnational Migration

Join the Smithsonian Latino Center and the University of Maryland for a student-led program that combines digital media with live performance to share stories from the third-largest Latino community in the United States—Salvadoran Americans. Organized with Professor Ana Patricia Rodríguez, student presentations will bring to life the history and context of Salvadoran migrations since the 19th century into the present. 

Theater doors will open at 2:30 p.m.  First come, first seated.  This program will be webcast live!  View it here.

*Entre mundos/Between Worlds is part of the series, "El Salvador in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area," which was kicked-off by the Salvadoran Ambassador's presentation at UMD on Feb. 18, 2014. You can watch the Ambassador's presentation at this link.  While you are at the NMAI, be sure to visit the exhibition "Cerámica de los Ancestros: Central America's Past Revealed" (open through Feb. 22, 2015).
