International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education which takes place annually during the third week of November.

The goal of IEW is to celebrate and promote the educational value of international experiences and global perspectives. During IEW, UMD's international student groups and globally- focused campus departments/programs schedule events that showcase our international nature and intercultural initiatives.
