Germanic Studies students receive prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships

Congratulations to Sarah Sexton and Laura Brady who have been awarded the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Germany for the 2015-16 academic year! We congratulate them on this outstanding accomplishment and in joining previous Departmental recipients

Laura, a Germanic Studies major, and Sarah, a Germanic Studies minors, graduated in the class of 2014.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the nation’s largest study abroad fellowship program, facilitating cultural exchange through direct immersion in a host country and interaction with a local community. The English Teaching Assistant Programs place Fulbright grant recipients in classrooms around the world to assist local English teachers while serving as cultural ambassadors for the United States.
