"Great Day Washington" | WUSA9

Adrianna David, Miss Maryland and theater and communications major at UMD, shares her passion for advocacy on WUSA9. David's cousin suffers from Lupus and needed both dialysis and a kidney transplant. Because of this personal connection, David is raising money and awareness for the Kidney Project, a research program at the University of California San Francisco developing a bio-artificial kidney that can eventually replace dialysis.

Watch David on WUSA9 to find out more about her part in The Kidney Project and her story of becoming Miss Maryland.
