About "The Last Ten Years: In Focus"
"The Last Ten Years: In Focus" includes highlights from the David C. Driskell Center's art acquisitions for the last decade. While the Driskell Center routinely exhibits a wide variety of themes and content in its shows, it very rarely has an opportunity to show off some of the more unique and interesting items from its collections. "The Last Ten Years: In Focus" brings newly acquired and previously not-shown works for the public to see. The exhibition also displays material from its archival collection as a complement to certain works in this show.
"The Last Ten Years: In Focus" is an exciting opportunity for the University of Maryland (UMD) and the broader community to see the breadth and depth of the Driskell Center's art and archival holdings, which have grown by thousands of objects in the last decade.
