What is a job ad really looking for?How do you know which skills are most important?How do you determine whether you are really qualified?Are there any hidden messages in the ad?What are your 'next steps' after locating a promising ad?

Sample academic and non-academic job postings will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own as well.
