Congratulations to ARHU’s Undergraduate Studies Program Teaching Award recipient!
Two teaching awards are given annually at the end of the academic year. One award is for teachers in General Education/CORE courses, and the other is for teachers in an Undergraduate Studies program course. These awards recognize our outstanding teachers; those teachers who changed the lives of their students, influenced their career directions, set the bar high and helped students leap over it. The awards are based on nominations by students who have taken courses with these gifted teachers and are thus best able to tell about their qualities. Christina Hanhardt, American Studies
Christina Hanhardt is an assistant professor in the Department of American Studies, a core faculty member of the LGBT Studies Program, and an affiliate of the Department of Women's Studies and the Consortium on Race, Gender and Ethnicity. Her research and teaching interests include LGBT and queer studies; critical race theory; urban studies; social movements; the politics of crime and punishment; cultural geography; film, video and television studies; and interdisciplinary research methods.
