The College of Arts and Humanities would like to congratulate Christopher Brown, recent University of Maryland English Ph.D. recipient, for being awarded one of the 65 American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) New Faculty Fellowships. Brown, with the support from the ACLS New Faculty Fellows program, will take a two-year position in the Department of English and the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University.  He will receive an annual stipend and research support as well as teach three seminars each year including courses in his particular area of specialization: African American literature, and law and literature.
