English Professor Scott Wible Wins 2014 Advancement Of Knowledge Award

Scott Wible's book, Shaping Language Policy in the U.S.: The Role of Composition Studies, was awarded for its advancement of the study of foreign language education.

Associate Professor of English Scott Wible has won the 2014 Advancement of Knowledge Award from the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC). As "the world's largest professional organization for researching and teaching composition," the CCCC presents this award annually for the empirical research publication in the previous two years that most advances writing studies.  Shaping Language Policy in the U.S.: The Role of Composition Studies, which takes an in-depth look at the The Conference on College Composition and Communication's foreign language policies. Scott will be presented with the award at the 2014 CCCC Convention in Indianapolis. Congratulations, Scott!
