It Is My Sad Duty To Inform You That Robert H. Smith, Longtime Benefactor For The College Of Arts And Humanities And The University Of Maryland, Died Suddenly On Tuesday, December 29, 2009. He Was 81.  mr. Smith And His Family’s Contributions Support A Wide Variety Of Programs Inside The College, Including The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Israel Studies, Jewish Studies, And Art History And Archaeology. The College Has Benefited Enormously From Robert H. Smith’s Generosity And Vision For Excellence. Robert Smith’s Philanthropic Footprints Can Be Found Throughout The Entire Um Community, Leaving His Legacy Of Excellence For Generations To Come.
